Booking Policy

Reservations are confirmed only after:

  • Payment has been received.
  • Availability has been verified.
  • Peru is Epic sends a booking confirmation.

Submitting a reservation request does not guarantee availability.

Certain experiences require immediate purchase of entrance tickets or transportation after payment.

Change & Cancellation Policy

Changes Requested by the Client

All changes requests must be submitted in writing by the person who made the reservation and payment. Requests must be sent to info@peruisepic.com.Only the person who made the original reservation may request changes to a booking.

  • A 10% of tour value per person administrative fee applies to each confirmed change request.
  • All changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
  • Additional costs may apply if changes result in higher transportation, accommodation, entrance ticket, or operational expenses.

Cancellation Requests

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing by the person who made the reservation and payment. Requests must be sent to info@peruisepic.com. The effective cancellation date is the date we receive your written request.

The cancellation policy type is specified on every tour Peru is Epic important info section.

Flexible Cancellation Policy (Type 1)

The following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 4 weeks before departure: 20% of the total tour price.
  • 4 weeks to 5 days before departure: 35% of the total tour price.
  • 5 days to 48 hours before departure: 50% of the total tour price.
  • Less than 48 hours before departure or no-show: 75% of the total tour price.

Strict Cancellation Policy (Type 2)

The following cancellation fees apply:

  • More than 4 weeks before departure: 30% of the total tour price.
  • 4 weeks to 5 days before departure: 50% of the total tour price.
  • 5 days to 48 hours before departure: 80% of the total tour price.
  • Less than 48 hours before departure or no-show: 100% of the total tour price.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method whenever possible. Refund processing times depend on the payment provider and financial institution.

Currency conversion fees, banking fees and third-party processing fees are not refundable.

Entrance Tickets & Government-Regulated Services

Official entrance tickets, permits, and government-regulated services (including but not limited to Machu Picchu, the Inca Trail, and other archaeological sites) are 100% non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased, in accordance with Peruvian government regulations.

Any cancellation or modification involving these services will be subject to the applicable government policies, regardless of the cancellation policy selected.

Inca Trail Permits

Please note that Inca Trail permits are non-changeable, non-transferable, and non-refundable. Once issued, departure dates cannot be modified under any circumstances, as established by the Peruvian government.

Changes or Cancellations by Peru Is Epic

Peru Is Epic will make every reasonable effort to operate all tours and services as confirmed. However, we reserve the right to modify itineraries, schedules, transportation, accommodations, or other services when necessary due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  1. Government regulations or restrictions
  2. Weather conditions
  3. Natural disasters
  4. Road closures or transportation disruptions
  5. Strikes or civil unrest
  6. Health or safety concerns
  7. Force majeure events

When significant changes are necessary, we will provide a comparable alternative whenever possible. If a tour must be cancelled by Peru Is Epic and no suitable alternative can be offered, the client will receive a refund for any unused services paid directly to Peru Is Epic, except for non-refundable entrance tickets, permits, or third-party services already purchased on the client's behalf.

Peru Is Epic is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by the client, including but not limited to flights, accommodation, travel insurance, visas, or other independently booked services.

Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is not included in any Peru Is Epic tour or travel package. We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, baggage loss, and adventure activities where applicable.
