We built this 7 days itinerary for first-time visitors who want the broadest classic Cusco experience without a multi-day camping trek.. The sequence combines the underlying PERU IS EPIC products into one coordinated journey while preserving the operational rules, permits, tickets and inclusions of each component.

Important: Cusco accommodation is not automatically included on nights that are not already part of an underlying multi-day trek or Machu Picchu product. Review the inclusions carefully and add hotel or airport services separately if you want us to coordinate the complete stay.

Day 1: Cusco City Tour

We introduce Cusco with a cultural day that helps you begin acclimatizing before the mountain excursions later in the week.

Day 2: Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes

We begin MP003 through the Sacred Valley and continue toward Aguas Calientes for the overnight arrangement included in the product.

Day 3: Machu Picchu & return

We visit Machu Picchu with the route and entrance confirmed for your booking before returning toward Cusco.

Day 4: Maras & Moray half-day

We slow the pace with a half-day visit to Moray and the Maras area, leaving the rest of the day open for recovery.

Day 5: Humantay Lake

We head into the Salkantay region for the hike to Humantay Lake, a demanding but visually rewarding mountain day.

Day 6: Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley

With several days of acclimatization behind you, we take on Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley.

Day 7: Flexible Cusco morning / departure

Keep the last day flexible for a relaxed morning or onward travel. Airport transfer can be added separately.

What exactly is included in this package?

This package combines the listed PERU IS EPIC components: CT001, MP003, MM001, HL001, RM001. Each component keeps its normal inclusions. Cusco hotel nights outside the accommodation already included in a component are not automatically included unless the package explicitly says so.

Is accommodation included every night?

No. Accommodation is included only where it is already part of an underlying product, such as an Aguas Calientes hotel night or trekking accommodation. Cusco hotel nights are not included by default unless we explicitly add them to your booking.

Do I need to acclimatize before starting?

Yes. Cusco and the surrounding mountains are at high altitude. We sequence cultural and lower-effort days before the most demanding hikes whenever possible, but you should still arrive in Cusco with enough time to adjust, especially for Rainbow Mountain, Humantay Lake, the Inca Trail or Salkantay.

How is Machu Picchu availability confirmed?

Machu Picchu tickets and connected services are limited. After payment, we verify the entrance route/circuit, train or trek logistics and any other limited inventory before sending final confirmation. We do not guarantee a specific circuit unless it has been confirmed for your booking.

What cancellation policy applies?

This package uses PERU IS EPIC's Strict Cancellation Policy (Type 2) because it contains Machu Picchu and/or other limited-capacity services. Government-regulated tickets and permits can become 100% non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased.

Can I pay a deposit instead of the full amount?

Yes. You may pay a US$ 250.00 reservation deposit or pay the full package price of US$ 649.00. The remaining balance is due 5 calendar days before departure under our current balance-payment policy.

Can I customize or upgrade this itinerary?

Yes, subject to availability. Common requests include airport transfers, private service on eligible days, train upgrades, trekking equipment rentals and extra hotel nights. Changes to permit-controlled services may be restricted once tickets or permits are issued.

Is this itinerary suitable for children or older travelers?

Suitability depends on the most demanding component in the package. High-altitude hikes and multi-day treks require stronger fitness and careful acclimatization. Contact us with traveler ages and mobility details before booking if anyone in your group may need a modified pace.

Package price: US$ 649.00 per adult. Buying the included products separately totals US$ 711.00, so the package saves US$ 62.00 (8.7%). Current modeled net profit is approximately US$ 93.02 (14.3% of sales), keeping the product above PERU IS EPIC's 10% minimum net-margin floor.

A US$ 250.00 deposit can be used to reserve the package, with a current balance of US$ 399.00 due 5 calendar days before departure. You may also pay in full at booking.

Child, student and special-category pricing is not automatically discounted at package level yet because each underlying component has different eligibility rules and the package must preserve the 10% minimum net-margin floor. Quote these cases individually until the pricing matrix is finalized.

The meeting point varies by the Day 1 component. Your final confirmation will state the exact hotel pickup or central meeting location.

Please be ready before the confirmed pickup window because trains, permits and group departures may operate on fixed schedules.

Pickup instructions follow the first included product on Day 1. We confirm the exact pickup window and eligible hotel/meeting-point area with your final booking details.

If your hotel is outside the standard pickup area, we will provide a central meeting point or quote additional transportation when needed.

Submitting payment does not by itself guarantee limited inventory. Your reservation is confirmed only after payment is received, availability is verified and PERU IS EPIC sends the booking confirmation.

Passport details are required for travelers whenever Machu Picchu, train tickets or permit-controlled services are included.

Strict Cancellation Policy (Type 2)

More than 4 weeks before departure: 30% cancellation fee. From 4 weeks to 5 days before departure: 50%. From 5 days to 48 hours before departure: 80%. Less than 48 hours before departure or no-show: 100%.

Official entrance tickets, permits and government-regulated services — including Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail where applicable — are 100% non-refundable and non-transferable once purchased.

All cancellation and change requests must be submitted in writing by the person who made the reservation and payment.

You can book directly through our website by selecting your tour, date, and group size, then completing payment online. Once payment is processed and availability is verified, we send your booking confirmation with the details you need for your trip. If you would prefer help planning your itinerary, you can also reach out to us directly before booking.

Our higher-altitude tours, such as Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain, include a first-aid kit and emergency support, and our guides are attentive to how the group is coping with the conditions. If you have a pre-existing health condition or are concerned about the effects of altitude, we recommend consulting your doctor before booking a high-altitude experience.

Some of our services depend on limited or externally controlled inventory, such as Machu Picchu entrance tickets and Inca Trail permits, so a date can occasionally be unavailable. If that happens, we let you know as soon as we verify availability and help you find the closest alternative date or itinerary that works for your trip.
